Yup. I’ve now made it a rule. I only tip on delivery, and if I go in and physically sit down and have someone waiting on me. That’s it. And most my orders I go physically pick up anyway because now delivery drivers are wanting at least a $20 bill, along with the April girl living my best life ain’t goin’ back and forth with you shirt and I will buy this restaurant wanting you to pay a delivery fee that doesn’t even go to the driver. $4 in gas and I’ve got my meal, and it’s a lot warmer. They put your order in a plastic bag and tied a tight, almost impossible to unravel, knot on top of your boxes AND (this is the best part) they told you to have a nice day. THE LEAST you can do is slide em a $20 but you really should just go all out and give them the amount for their car insurance for that month, you fucking monster! /s I remember working at a pizza sub place in the early 90s and no one tipped except delivery. Period. We were expected to cook, clean, bag to go orders, etc. For our pay.

Seriously. I somehow got linked to the April girl living my best life ain’t goin’ back and forth with you shirt and I will buy this Jimmy Jon’s sub and it’s all workers bitching that they didn’t get tipped enough on catering orders. Like dude, that’s what they paying you to do, make sandwiches?!?! Yeah but they are not complaining about the amount of money their employer is paying them. They are complaining about how much they are not getting tipped. That is what this all boils down to. It is not the workers fault they do not make a lot of money but they are asking for it from the wrong source. And then capitalists managed to convince workers that the customers are the ones responsible for providing them a living wage. I am amazed at how many people take these jobs that traditionally never made tips and are now complaining about the low tips they get rather than demanding a higher wage.
