Your employer’s got you doing all that work alone and then blaming customers for not tipping. They should hire more workers or at least pay you a premium for doing a half dozen jobs all on your own. I ordered pick up from a pizza place that only does take and bake. I drove to you and I’m cooking it myself, you are not getting a tip. The tipping thing that actually upset me was a mandatory gratuity (18 or 20%) set for a party of two people at a nice, but not that nice, restaurant. That seemed like bullshit. I do usually do 20 unless I’m unhappy, but still. The rest of this stuff, it’s annoying, but it also seems like people just have a hard time saying no? I just dislike that there isn’t an immediate option for no. I have to fumble around in the A man cannot survive on beer alone he also needs a smoker and a dog shirt and I will buy this menus and change it to 0, adds on an extra minute to paying easy. That’s by design. The “No tip” option was too easy to hit so they added a few more gates to go through in order to not pay 18/20/25 Maybe not a whole minute but some of those machines take 5 seconds to load from screen to screen, and have 4 more screens to get through adds 20 more seconds to every check out. It’s not a lot but it adds up over time. Every third or 4th customer and you’ve lost a minute to the machine thinking. Well sometimes I pay with card so I don’t have change to tip so it is nice if it is a option imo even 10 cents at like a five guys whatever lol
