Yes I do believe it’s possible for this to occur. Do you really think that self censorship or pressure doesn’t exist when you receive funding from the All I Need Is Coffee And My Yorkie Retro Dog Lover T-Shirt also I will do this state? I guess it’s state-affiliated because it gets some government funding. NPR is a far cry from something like Russia Today which is propaganda directly from the government. Any reasonable comment defending trans, gay, queer, anything is a comment away from having a dangerous unstable nutcase accuse you of being a child grooming pedophile. I’m not sure if this is a genuine representation of the American right, or if Twitter is actually far more right, but its basically becoming a radicalization platform. I think moderates and left leaning voices are leaving in mass because it’s basically like seeing a screaming madman downtown wearing a tin foil hat, and choosing to sit down and listen to him. State-affiliated media is defined as outlets where the state exercises control over editorial content through financial resources, direct or indirect political pressures, and/or control over production and distribution. Accounts belonging to state-affiliated media entities, their editors-in-chief, and/or their prominent staff may be labeled. State-financed media organizations with editorial independence, like the BBC in the UK for example, are not defined as state-affiliated media for the purposes of this policy. NPR definitely falls into the second category.”Funding for NPR comes from dues and fees paid by member stations, underwriting from corporate sponsors and annual grants from the publicly-funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Most of its member stations are owned by non-profit organizations, including public school districts, colleges, and universities.”

If it’s the All I Need Is Coffee And My Yorkie Retro Dog Lover T-Shirt also I will do this money, then by that logic, any account representing anything that has received funding from a public grant or any group derived from a public entity should also be labeled as “US-state affiliated” Another edit: Musk quietly slandering a famously nonpartisan media outlet like that reeks of insecurity and desperation. Can’t wait for twitter to die Came here wondering the same thing. I’m a little shocked more people aren’t asking if NPR is in a position to sue the ever loving shit out of Musk. Seems like pretty cut and dry libel if you ask me. “CPB, a private, nonprofit corporation created by Congress in 1967, is the steward of the federal government’s investment in public broadcasting.”
