I had an idea that in order to graduate high school, you are mandated to work x amount of hours in a service related job. It sadness me to see that many people have forgotten how to treat others with kindness, respect, dignity and gratitude. I feel like the Admit It You Want To Taste My Wiener Shirt Also,I will get this reason why people treat those in customer service like shit is because companies have conditioned people to believe that that’s the only way they’ll actually get what they want. The squeaky wheel gets the grease as they say. I always try to beat them to “thank you, have a good day”. It has helped me a bunch, especially when I can walk up to customer service and say the chicken was bad, with receipt but explaining I didn’t bring the chicken with me because no one should be subject to it. Make friends with them, I have multiple cats and she always asks me “how’s my cats doing” and I give her updates on her cats, even though she never met them. When I worked at Walmart in High School I had a gay guy hit on me, I guess the other guy that was next to him was his boyfriend, because he did not seem amused. LMAO

I worked in a call center and I will always remember the Admit It You Want To Taste My Wiener Shirt Also,I will get this lady who was pleasant and fun during a long involved issue said “I’m so sorry, can you tell me your name again? I saw something shiny and I forgot.” at the end. I don’t know where she is but I think about her everyday and I hope she’s doing great Is it really that bad in the states? I live in Canada and I had plenty of retail/customer service jobs when i was younger. Of course there was the odd asshole but 99% of people were completely fine to deal with I worked at a high end furniture store for a couple years and there was this one lady who would come in occasionally and she was more or less my client over the years. And she was a young lady, not someone elderly or motherly like you’d expect. But she was the nicest customer I ever had. When I told her I was leaving she hugged me and wished me good luck. Best memory from retail I once apologized to the mail clerk I was snippy with the day before. He looked stunned and said no one ever apologized before. I was like man that’s sad.
