I just always remember Carmen Farala, as glamorous as she is, deepthroating that banana as a zombie. Great comparison. Neither of them are afraid to look stupid. I do have to wonder what the Admit it now working at Sonic America’s drive in would be boring without me Mickey mouse shirt What’s more,I will buy this queens were thinking and feeling once it set in that Sasha was there and competing Exactly what Mistress was willing to say, she was tired of the Sasha meet and greet ? the girls knew especially once she started winning Sasha being there was what made it so funny to me when Loosey was mad about not winning challenges… like girl I know it’s disappointing but are you really surprised or disputing that Sasha Colby did better than you? Any of the queens pressed about not winning this season is funny to me, I would be aiming for the Vanjie of the season the moment I saw Sasha since the crown was taken. Y E S, crowning anyone else would be a mistakeI’ve said from day one that if Sasha isn’t crowned, then Drag Race is pointless. Not because “its obvious” but because in the real drag community (not just fans of drag race, but fans of drag), she is seen by everyone that meets her or has seen her perform as a mainstay of class and strength and she really does embody what drag is all about. If someone can gain notoriety, legendary status, (and not just in their local bar coughmerrycherrycough) and the reputation that Sasha has and come on drag race and lose….then we aren’t really looking for the best, are we?

To play devils advocate, isn’t the Admit it now working at Sonic America’s drive in would be boring without me Mickey mouse shirt What’s more,I will buy this winner supposed to be the NEXT drag superstar who represents the FUTURE of drag? So the things you talk about — her notoriety, legendary status and reputation — are not really part of the decision-making process. It should be less about looking at their past performance and more about what they might do in the future — right? I think Sasha’s obviously amazing and I would not be angry at her winning at all, but full disclosure that I am Team Anetra. I actually like this argument a lot, but I think the show’s general aim for the idea of “the future of drag” doesn’t meet the current, real life moment where drag is being challenged, attacked, and banned around the country. And I think Ru’s willing (eager, really) to speak to that this year. Sasha Colby – as a legend – is someone that young people look towards because she’s such an icon. And, frankly, this is her first major exposure to a national audience. She’s inspirational, and maybe in less freakish times, Anetra would fit that “future of drag winner” vision better. Here and now, Sasha is the superstar we need.
