I was a backer in 2013 and nowadays have zero hope this will ever be more than a fancy tech demo. I just don’t care anymore about that game. I was deep into SC at one point. It really is a good game underneath the buggy mess it is. it can be pretty addicting, and the monetization scheme is pretty scummy. my total account value at one point was $800, which is pretty small compared to some of the guys i was orged with. Thank god for r/starcitizentrades i was able to sell off everything for around $650. I’ll probably come back to SC some day, but i won’t allow myself to buy more than the base starter ship… ok well maybe at least a freelancer (and thus the cycle starts again) As a frequent player of the game, when Star Citizen works, its a damn good game. That being said, I get the criticism the game and CIG recieves.

All that being said, its been a damn long time since CIG started developing both games, and even as a supporter and fan of them, I’m getting annoyed with how little CIG actually improves the game we actually play today. Yes, they constantly give us new features and technical improvements, but the game is unstable and performs bad. I get saying “Its an alpha” but, it is only an alpha in name, what it actually is is a live service game, thousands of people play on a daily basis.
