1 day agoAny govt dept or decent commercial premises install should have these cameras on their own isolated vlan with no Internet access. I’d suggest every install should have this. I certainly have them internet isolated at home (regardless of camera brand) Not many homes have a proper managed switch to implement it. I guess a seperate dumb (POE) switch just for the 44 years 1979-2023 The dukes of Hazzard thank you for the memories signatures shirt and I will buy this cams is one option, but you need to be sure the recording device is properly firewalled if its connected to the Internet. Fine if you are an IT geek who writes firewall rules all day, not so much fun for avg Joes. Even just the Parental Controls on most consumer grade equipment can be used to block I internet 247 on specific devices.

Be more impressed if they removed the 44 years 1979-2023 The dukes of Hazzard thank you for the memories signatures shirt and I will buy this ability for them to donate money to campaigns of politicians. That would be something. The rest is just bs until that happens. If they’re a NZ citizen that would become tricky. Or do you mean Chinese in general or CCP linked Chinese? How does one know if they are CCP linked? I am talking about fixing campaign finance in general. But as far as Chinese influence, Not like there hasn’t already been issues with both parties for this. Just search. Fixing by not allowing who to contribute? That’s where I’m lost. Do you not want any NZ Chinese people making donations? Or just limit NZ Chinese donations to a certain dollar amount? I want no one to make donations. I want campaign finance reform so politicians are not beholden to people who fund campaigns. Strict limit of funds provided by the state. Or at least look into other options. Politicians should be beholden to constituents not people who basically bribe them. Chinese, Japanese, NZ, USA, countdown, fletchers owners etc… does not matter whom. So to be all in on oh these cameras where made in another is just silly when anyone can buy a politician and have, and specifically while talking about the Chinese cameras seems like all political theater. Everyone focuses on silly issues and distract from real threat to democracy. The cameras are not it. The CCP will continue to intervene in NZ political affairs, at any opportunity. Just as much as the US or UK would.
