Aren’t there labor laws in CA that would have made it illegal for them to delay payment this long? Or would that not apply here since this was a “prize”? I have no idea, but my understanding is that within the 2023 Overwatch League Champs Florida Mayhem shirt in other words I will buy this reality branch of television, production can get away with a lot more in terms of how they treat their talent Probably a lack of union, etc… Wooooow. That’s some big tea! I knew production was messed up but this is just on a different level. Even the fact it took over a year to pay her when they are probably just raking in dough from a zillion different franchises. Maybe some of the hate the queens get should be going to them instead I know it’s all prizewinnings in America not just drag race but how annoying that you have to pay so much tax on it!

Edit: I think it’s suspicious how many downvotes this very good idea, which should at least be discussed, is getting. I’m glad that Yvie is speaking out. Think about all that’s going on in show business now with the 2023 Overwatch League Champs Florida Mayhem shirt in other words I will buy this WGA strike and potential other strikes. And those large groups struggle to get fair deals. Meanwhile, drag artists aren’t at all unionized. It took an All Winners season for those queens to have some sway over production. But we’re back in a regular All Stars and it’s bullshit all over. I genuinely think nobody should be eliminated on All Stars. Yes, keep in some negative critiques (if constructive), but only cast people who are strong enough competitors to show out all season long, not just 2 or 3 who could potentially win, and then everyone else. And don’t call in Naysha with 2 weeks notice when others got at least 4.
