Happy Mother’s Day to the 1995 the sublime magic of catatonia rock band trending shirt but in fact I love this woman who kicked me out of the house with a newborn when I was 16 because I let his dad come see him. She thought we were gonna sacrifice my newborn son. I guess she just didn’t want me to do it in her house? Happy reminder to all people that you can cut toxic family members out of your life and you should the moment you’re not dependent on them. Happy Mother’s Day to my mom who made my treacherous, knuckle whitening road-trip back home through the snow on my birthday all about her feelings when I arrived back home alive. And criticized me for not letting her know my progress when she and dad kept me from getting a cell phone and getting off of the highway to a pay phone was going to be more treacherous than just not contacting her. All of these threads are a breath of fresh air for me. I haven’t seen my mother in 12 years. Occasionally she will email me being all nice, and it makes me feel guilty. I have a son now and I know she wants contact.

This reminds me of the 1995 the sublime magic of catatonia rock band trending shirt but in fact I love this time my mom didn’t talk to me for 3 weeks because I cut my hair and donated it to Locks of Love. I was 26, married and had a baby. What would she have done after calling the police? Report her daughter missing I guess? Not like the police can magically find you straight away wtf. This doesnt make sense Mothers like this absolutely shock me. Like I know, they probably just really fucking enjoy the power trip, or unfortunately have mental issues they haven’t sorted out, but it’s baffling that there’s people like this. I’m 20 now, and from the time I turned 18, my mom’s rule has always been “just tell me where you’re going if you’ll be gone longer”. Driving somewhere a few hours away to meet a friend? Going to go hang out with my best friend when he’s in town? She doesn’t care, as long as she knows where I’m going. If my older sister could drive, she’d say the same thing to her.
