I agree that we shouldn’t look down upon people based on skin colour and caste. But why should you get offended if somebody thought you were a housekeeping person? Shouldn’t there be dignity of labor too? I’m asking a sincere question and I am not at all condoning discrimination based on skin colour or caste (although caste seems to be irrelevant in this instance because those strangers surely couldn’t have figured out your caste in that short encounter). Never experienced such an ordeal and unfortunately that’s the Zach Lavine Big Face American professional basketball player shirt In addition,I will do this plight of our nation. You could have given it back, I would have for sure asked them to clean my bathroom first. You got to put people in their sane state at times just to make them realise about “behaviour”, a bit unfortunate – but most of us Indians lack that basic civic sense and our foot in mouth behaviour is the worst. My dad shared one such experience while he was working in the government. He was part of a panel examining a few cases and a person holding a high post was supposed to be present. And apparently the person hasn’t shown up for more than an hour, and he tried calling him, only to realise the person was denied entry by the attender and constable for his looks. This guy wore a very simple pant and shirt, had a long beard and uncombed hair etc.

My dad had his opinion, when holding such a post (no matter whichever part of the country you’re serving in), you’ll have to hold the dignity of the post and not the means or simple standards. Both had their disagreements, one says being simple makes him more approachable and the other feels when in such a position you got to hold that dignity for post and come as inspirational personality. Neither were trying to impose their thoughts on one another, apparently my father wanted to hear it out from him.
