Just venting, but why is this so fucking hard to get right? Can we not have involuntary hospitalization but also a functional mental health system to hospitalize those people in? I’m going to venture a guess that people aren’t coming out of the woodwork to voluntarily work with a population that is unpredictable, potentially violent, and exhausting.
