I spent nearly 20 years having religion shoved down my throat, and it took another 10 before I felt confident enough to simply dismiss religious bullshit unless it’s actively harmful. I’d just ignore it. Why? They don’t have the actual words from the Bible on them, just a reference. To know what they refer to, you’d have to either have the Bible memorized or look up the reference. Thats cool. I love it when companies have little Easter eggs like this on their products. Its subtle and doesn’t impact the quality of product, its just a little detail that shows character. Just how companies have the freedom to conduct their business, we have the freedom to choose our diets, and I think thats a pretty great system. They do, but this isn’t an example of that. The text is fairly hidden. I eat at In-N-Out all the time, and while I’ve known about the bible verses for years I don’t see them unless I’m looking for them. I’ve lived in Southern California my whole life, so I’ve been to In-N-Out a billion times. I’m an atheist, but the food is so good I’m fine with just ignoring them. Plus they’re not all preachy about it. As long as they pay their employees well and give them good benefits and don’t enforce their religious doctrine on their workers it’s fine with me.
