Next comes the You will not survive evangelion sad japanese anime aesthetic shirt and I love this part where MSNBC will deny passing down those orders and will fire the producer who handed those orders down. I want to see a probe. This is entirely unacceptable behavior for a ‘news’ organization. Jurors, aware they are being followed and photographed, are being influenced. Either way you feel about this case, either verdict is decided, a high profile case like this should have the anonymity of jurors treated very seriously. There are people who would do harm to them regardless of their decision and that’s not fucking fair. Might be time to have a conversation about how money drives media to act in ways that are not in our best interests. Beyond reprehensible. If I was a juror and thought my identity would be exposed in a high profile case like this, I would absolutely be terrified to make an impartial vote. I’m not going to have my life upended for voting what the mob thinks is the wrong way because of some dickhead in the media. Left and Right agreeing? Chinese bots must be offline due power failure in China. Big angry passive aggressive Panda should have kept importing that yummy quality Kangeroo coal. Nice to see people come together on some common sense. I hope they severely punish this person. Jury duty is very important and a civic duty. MSNBC’s coverage of this trial makes those bozos at FoxNews look competent in comparison. That’s impressive considering how awful Fox usually is. I dunno if it’s similar everywhere but for those calling for the jury to be sequestered, the government doesn’t like to do that and avoid it at often as they can since jurors usually give the quickest answer so they can go home and get back to their jobs.

I’ve thrice requested a deferral on my summons because if I were forced to miss more than a day or two of work, I’d have to choose to skip paying a bill for that month. The pay they set for jurors hasn’t been increased in decades either. It’s a bit less than $50 a day. In my state, you cannot technically be fired because of jury duty, but it’s not uncommon. At one of my old jobs, to not be fired you needed to provide copies of your summons and your response requesting a defferal. Even then it is no guarantee because the You will not survive evangelion sad japanese anime aesthetic shirt and I love this law is amended to include that termination will likely be viewed as justified if your employer tells you it could affect how the place operates while you are gone. So in a lot of cases, jury duty can cost you your job just like using vacation days, sick days, maternity leave, etc.
