Paul Dano was so fucking good and such a perfect villain for what Matt Reeves was going for with this that I can’t imagine a sequel being nearly as good unless he is in it. I have a few small reservations about this one but overall, entire movie fucking ripped. It’s a great movie, but far from perfect. I wasn’t a big fan of this Bruce…I understand the You MAke ME Happy Snoopy and Woodstock Shirt Furthermore, I will do this deliberate story choice, but I felt he wasn’t dynamic enough as a character and was just kind of unreactive and mopey at times. Hopefully the ending marks a shift in his character…it’s a character arc I can appreciate even if I didn’t always enjoy the character getting there. Luckily, Pattinson’s Batman is probably the best live action Batman — a real detective who is still learning how to be Batman. I would love to see this Bruce and Batman evolve and be more fully formed in the sequel. I thought Catwoman and Penguin were pretty great. I love Dano, but I think his Riddler at times came off a little over the top. I’m not sure where I place this amongst the Batman movies, but it’s somewhere up there in the top 3. The way it ends really sets up what could be a fantastic sequel after the groundwork that was set here.

I had a big grin on my face when the You MAke ME Happy Snoopy and Woodstock Shirt Furthermore, I will do this Penguin walked like a penguin. After seeing this, I’d be fascinated to see Matt Reeve’s take on Mr. Freeze.Incredible, loved it. Especially the music and cinematography. Robert Pattinson killed it as young, grungy Batman. The Batmobile scene was fucking fire. Only gripe was the Joker scene. Please for fucks sake we’ve seen enough of that character this past decade, lets do something else? Honestly, I thought it was good. Definitely could have been better cause I wasn’t happy with the bloated script or how little The Riddler was used throughout the film. For being the main villain he just wasn’t utilized enough, especially in the middle half when the film focused on Falcone, Penguin and Catwoman. I like the grounded feel of the first hour, but it quickly went a little convoluted and over the top in the end for me.
