I’m in my 40s. I knew when I was a teenager I didn’t want kids. Never felt any desire to interact with children. My wife and I travel a lot. We also are working to retire by 50. I just don’t see any reasons to have children. Anyway, I think there should actually be schools for parents, where they could actually have to deal with different kinds of children before they decide to have children, because it’s true they don’t choose their parents, but we can’t choose our children either.

At least as teenagers their brains have developed to a point they are capable of understanding, whether or not they actually use it. Plus, if I were to get someone pregnant literally today, now, the child wouldn’t turn 18 until I’m 62. I’m just plain getting old to be a parent.
