Face: Might be worth going to Sephora or Credo to get a foundation re-match, it looks like your foundation might be too dark and warm. I’m having a hard time envisioning how that would work I agree with another poster on your eyeliner. I love the big wings and they’re pretty on you but you could try slightly elevating the wings to lift your face and eyes some. Honestly, you look beautiful so I would suggest trying some minor adjustments to see how you like them, but they’re not necessary if you don’t feel like it. 🙂 I would say lighten up the eye makeup a bit. The thickness combined with the direction of the lines pulls your eyes down. I think a more thin, upturned cat eye, some mascara, and no bottom liner would make you look more youthful (I’m not saying you don’t look youthful already). I feel like blush under the eyes and on the nose would be a really good look for you. I also do thicker wings due to my eyes being uneven. It makes it way less noticeable for me. I think maybe eyeliner pointing a little higher would give a nice shape.

Don’t follow the line your upper lash line takes down to the outer corner. There are a lot of times I kind of go out and then up. I have hooded eyes, so doing eyeliner is definitely a challenge some days Your skin looks really nice, you could add some blush for a little more colour, but you have a nice subtle glow going on. Honestly the only thing I would change is the eyeliner, thick wings are fine but if you lifted them up a little I think it would help lift your eyes too. I would lose the eyeliner on the bottom waterline too, I always think that ages people because it is a very 2000s vibe. You can always try upgrading your makeup products if you want to feel more current, but I also have some old af makeup that I still use because if it works, it works.

I’d try getting matched when you get it, the one you have now just looks a little dark for you. Instead of a thick eyeliner wing, I’ve started doing a thin wing and then smoking it out with an angled brush and some dark brown or black eyeshadow (a little goes a long way). Hard disagree on the liner comments- I think the downturned liner is super modern like albeit more 2021 but I wouldn’t consider egirl adjacent liner to be evocative of the 2016 matte everything, insane highlighter, cut crease combo. It’s also super flattering on your eyes but if you wanted to modernize it I’d maybe just go for a bit of a lighter color on the waterline

I’d say if you wanted to look more on trend really go in on the blush and go for a glossier lip and overall finish I agree!! black eyeliner has never “gone out of style” but these days a satin finish foundation, higher blush placement & glossy, lined lips are “in” Eyebrows and lips are perfect. That foundation is definitely foundationing but if you like full coverage then its a slay. I dont see any concealer listed in your description… I think a concealer one or two shades lighter than your foundation placed at the inner corner and outer corner of the eye could make a big difference in brightening and looking youthful. In the same note, a lighter banana powder used to lightly set the under eye will help brighten/set the makeup. If you like the liner style, I say go for it. To “update” it, maybe try a rich chocolate brown instead of black. It will help you get away with the product under the eye and looking more “natural” on your inner corner extension. If you want to try something new, I would experiment with raising your eyeliner wing to lift the eyes.

Imo there’s a timeless axis in makeup from egirl to vscogirl(and if you modify age and take out the girl part it’s baddie to crunchy on the other axis line). You are way more on egirl side. A lot of this advice being given is by non-egirls who are probably into no-makeup makeup and sadly they ‘re not considering your personal taste. The key is a lot of blush around the nose. You highlight the bridge of your nose either in an ! of have a flat tip. You use blush on the apples of your cheek and to contour the tip of your nose like you’re a person in an TV allergy commercial. Also, you put on shiny lipgloss, but just in the middle. The eyeliner is fine, but you can also wear graphic eyeliner in like a v shape on the edges too if you want to be more on trend.
