The main issue with this (for me and probably others with it) isn’t that you can play your skills early, or your build – but more than that’s it. You’ll never really revolutionize it or get cool effects for it… due to lack of gear progression among other scaling factors. My Druid is one of the World tour 2023 the offspring 38th anniversary 1984 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt in addition I really love this only abilities that actually does get this (pulverize changes to a forward wave aoe)…. But then again, that’s kinda it. In other games I could get +2 projectiles which would change the feel of my build. Maybe later I could even get up to +8 with a crap ton of gear / passives etc. while it is still the same “build” it constantly feels different with a small change like that. To be clear, I knew this going in. I expect in a few years this issue will be solved, but for now, “builds” are super generic and not that inspiring unfortunately. At least it’s fun to play, though.

I think it also depends a lot on your drops. I’m playing pulverize Druid too but haven’t gotten the World tour 2023 the offspring 38th anniversary 1984 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt in addition I really love this legendary power you mentioned yet. What I did get is a lego that changes trample that it basically leaves an aftermath shockwave, which is pretty cool. I also looking forward to get a different pulverize legendary power that I had in the beta where it spawnes tectonic spikes under you and turns pulverize into an earth skill. Point is, there are many cool legendaries that definitely alter your skills significantly, you’re just dependent on luck to get them. It’s the leveling phase, you won’t get the stuff you want guaranteed. Pretty much everything is made or broken by drops. I went into the full game with a plan for my Necro based on my Server Slam experience. Everything was going according to plan at first, but when I started getting legendaries, I wasn’t getting anything for the skills I was using. I switched it up a bit to go with my drops, and ended up having more fun than my original plan. Maybe with time it will develop as you say. Feels like they are going for some pacing, which is acceptable, I think. If they start with all the variety (5-6-8 different visual/mechanical changes to a single skill) they might get stuck on ideas for later. Which will be another complaint going forward if you think about it – “Ok, we got an expansion, why are the skills the same” or “I got these 5 ways to change this on launch….why am I getting just 1 new way now 6-12 months into the game”.
