AKA we’re comfortable enough to have you take over duties but not comfortable enough to pay you for it. K sure. Stop thinking that you don’t deserve the Wisconsin Badgers Hometown Collection Jump Around Shirt in addition I really love this same as everyone else, and don’t let them gaslight in to thinking you aren’t capable… If they didn’t think you could do the job then they wouldn’t let you do it. Your bosses think that you’re a pushover and that they can cheat you with lies and false promises. If you want to be a valued and respected person.. stand up for yourself, and demand the money that the work deserves. Put your foot down, set boundaries, don’t do the job if you are not being paid for it. If you don’t stick up for yourself, then why the fuck are you here? Why ask for advice if you’re just going to roll over and take it anyways? As is they are asking you to step up to help them through an leadership shortage. If they won’t commit to new compensation the way to protect yourself is an appointment letter to acting director with a begin and hard end date and commitment from the company that your old position will be available to you if you are not given the official promotion with compensation.

It shows them you’re willing to help the Wisconsin Badgers Hometown Collection Jump Around Shirt in addition I really love this company through the transition and to prove yourself but not willing to set yourself up to be exploited by them (extra leadership with paying for it). It’s still a risk and the very fact that they wanna play this game now suggests they’ll play games with you later. Only other option is to say “no thank you I’m happy where I am” and make them sweeten the compensation now to get you to accept it. But they could just let you go too. Get it in writing. I definitely experienced the “I will give you the title when we’re both comfortable” and was replaced within three months with a rude and cold person who was great at putting on an act but genuinely unqualified. Derailed a big part of my life after I had relocated for the role. These companies don’t care about you so get it in writing.
