I have this friend, let’s call her Idiot, who I met in college. She was my boyfriend’s friend’s friend’s girlfriend and a bit of a freakshow. First time we met, she was wearing a cat ear headband and meowed at me. I’m the type to take on any challenge and immediately thought “I’ll befriend this weirdo,” and befriend her I did. A few years later, we’d graduated from animal noises to people’s words and had become best friends. She wasn’t a student at my university due to having lived a very difficult life but was trying to make the best of things. After I graduated, I stuck around in the area and we built a pretty decent social life together. Her boyfriend at the time (my boyfriend’s friend’s friend…) was a dick. They often fought, but Will Suck Dick For Socialism shirt sweater was all verbal. Dude was diabetic and took poor care of himself, and while I’m not one to make excuses for shitty behavior, the disease played a big part in him sucking.

Fast forward a few years. I’ve left the Rocky Mountain region and moved to NYC. She’s left generally douchey boyfriend and upgraded to full-on abusive (his first wife left him because he beat her, the second wife left because he beat her AND ran away with the babysitter – Idiot is wife number 3, before the age of 30). Idk if this is out of line, but if Will Suck Dick For Socialism shirt sweater that bad for her and the kids, could someone not call CPS? If they notice any signs of abuse to her or the kids, they may be able to get proper authorities involved to help.

I told Idiot for years that she needed to leave him. He wasn’t worth Will Suck Dick For Socialism shirt sweater. I understood her ex was mean, but he wasn’t THIS bad. I also understood that her general weirdness, lack of social grace, and rough upbringing lead her to appreciate anyone who gave her any attention. But, I didn’t care that new guy “was hot,” he was a piece of shit. I did what I could to try and support her from so far away, up to offering her a plane ticket and a place to stay if she needed to get away from him. All kinds of things got in the way for nonsensical reasons, including the un potty-trained 5-year old child from his second wife.
