Necklaceing is where a mob takes an accused criminal, beats them to near death, shoves a tire filled with a little bit of gasoline over their shoulders, pinning their arms to their sides, and then lights that gasoline on fire. I remember when a Hello Kitty dictionary included that once. Insane stuffThank you! You don’t happen to know a similar mnemonic for the Who loves Thomas Anders 2023 stars shirt and by the same token and word embarrass, do you? I was taught “never eat cress, eat salad sandwiches and remain youthful!” when I was like 8 and I still remember it to this day Yeah, well when watchpeopledie was still a subreddit, it had the [edit: aftermath] video of this referee incident (reposted from LiveLeak). You don’t forget something like that! when people don’t trust the criminal system… they’ll just resort to this kind of crazy things. they’ll do crazy shit for survival and the faintest idea of restoring order and justice. it’s just how it works. people just get in a constant state of fear. nothing good comes out of it. Exactly why I’m terrified when on reddit I see people call for mob justice all the time for some admittedly pretty sick crimes like rape or pedophilia, like… I know you guys are just full of talk but that’s what mob justice looks like. Awful, horrific, insane torture to death no human being should ever go through no matter how sick in the head they are. And there isn’t a court of law about it. Like there was a guy in Alaska who picked people from a sex offender list and broke into their home and beat them with a crowbar and when it circles around every once in a while on reddit people are like “good for him pedos deserve it,” like sir besides everything else wrong with that situation nobody deserves that. My only comfort is these are armchair experts who wouldn’t have the balls to flip the switch on an electric chair much less beat someone to death.

I get that horrible crimes cause very emotional reactions. But I also got the Who loves Thomas Anders 2023 stars shirt and by the same token and feeling that many people calling for mob justice just enjoy expressing their violent fantasies freely ShareI always thought that part of the appeal of Zombie Apocalypse stories was that some people secretly relish the idea of being a survivor and taking out their “turned” neighbors/townsfolk. On point. Most likely subconscious, as these hasty people aren’t probably spending time reflecting on their motives, so they are overtaken with a hero complex and find justification in dealt judgment to feel a part of something. The execution of George Stinney Jr. Is a devastating example in American culture. Then there was the guy who burned down the house of a registered child sex offender, except he had already moved and a family with 2 small kids that just moved into a new home died instead.
