I have family overseas who use Whatsapp, so by extension I also use it to chat to them. I’m an iPhone user, but I think anyone who cares what color the text bubbles are needs to reevaluate their priorities. People use things based on need. The native apps work well enough, so there’s no need driving most US Americans to something different. Text msgs have better coverage ( You might be able to send sms but not be able to get internet. ) And you always have the text app on your phone. You don’t have to install Facebook apps (WhatsApp) and get everyone else to install it too and to set it up.

Then banglore 080 lounge rejected me saying entry allowed only 3hours before departure. Yea but some rules are stupid. Why have such a policy in the first place? If it is for overcrowding make an exception for late night since it is not crowded anyways. These idots just make rash laws and blindly follow it. Common sense is not at all part of the equation it seems.
Late nights at Bangalore airport used to be super crowded before all international ops moved to T2 just 4 months ago. The late night peak owing to Gulf and EU flights. Yes, this is a rule. The same for everyone. It is strictly enforced at some airports where congestion is a problem. It’s a strict rule atleast in Delhi. On another occasion I was stopped at the immigration for the same reason. If your layover is longer than X hours you cannot enter. It may be different for different airports for different times. I think it’s normal to deny entry before 4 hours prior to departure for domestic flight. I was denied entry in Goa and in Kolkata and had to manage somehow. Blr airport has much better facilities outside the airport, compared to the other two.
My brother came back literally last week and he also wasn’t denied entry. He reached around 10 and had a fight around 4 which got delayed to 6. He stayed inside without any issues. They however gave me my boarding pass at 7ish so I just sat near the baggage drop area and caught up with friends. If they plan to implement such rules then it’ll be very difficult in the future. My friend went too early at Goa airport and got denied the entry. So there is time limit but Im not sure how much is it. This has to be reported to ministry of aviation, write to them and trouble you have in airport and safety issues. They may consider such cases in future and train the crpf staff to teach the how to behalf with public, this military people absolute lack of sense and don’t even know to have manners I think they won’t allow for flights after 4-5 hours, but they confirm once are you sure you wanna go in? If you go in, you can’t come back out, stuff like that and let in. I once had a 12 hour layover and they let me in after asking so many questions. But considering it was 2 years back when airports were comparatively less crowded.
