No. I can’t cook myself, but I also work and contribute to housework. I can also buy things like tv dinners and microwave things. I was literally raised to be helpless (not even taught how to use a microwave), and I figured out how to use one at age 18 by looking at it for 10 seconds. I only had to ask once how to bring water to a boil, and now that means I can do things that are in a box with instructions. He is choosing to be lazy and incompetent. You were absolutely right for what you did. You don’t need another child. There’s no way he can actually be so clueless unless his mother has literally cooked (and cleaned up) every meal for him up until he met you. He just doesn’t want to have to cook or clean up after himself, so he continues to be helpless. He needs to grow up.
