I live in America and have always found this to be profoundly cruel, but it explains why the What’s not to like about Simon Cowell he is the best signature shirt but in fact I love this elderly are not taken care of by their own families, the cycle continues. I moved out at 26 and am moving back in ( to help my parents) at 32. At this point in life it’s not ideal but I do what I can for my family. Its another way for companies to keep people a slave of the work force. Your entire life is made to work, you shouldnt spend any free time on family or bonding. You live for the dollar and die by the dollar- family and togetherness isn’t apart of that agenda. Because once upon a time jobs were plentiful, and kids could leave home and start their own families and afford a house, car and family with a regular job. I still remember how my parents, blue collar workers, sometimes would just move and buy a new house to decorate for the fun of it. Since kids were considered legal adults at 18 and graduating high school no one really saw any reason why an 18-year-old wouldn’t just go out into the world and have that for themselves too. Also keep in mind those who’d had to fight in wars did so at the age of 18, so it sort of ingrained this idea in American culture anyways that 18 one was an adult who could safely leave the nest – and should. Unfortunately that didn’t last but the viewpoint of “got to get out and be independent” did as the previous generations continue to assume the world is just like it was when they were young. And it’s not. I’m older, and I grew up in a very, very different world and time than my own kids.

It hurts and when I see people kicking their kids out now at the What’s not to like about Simon Cowell he is the best signature shirt but in fact I love this age of 18 I think it’s beyond cruel. What’s out there today is NOT what it was when I was a teen. We voted for the wealthy to have all sorts of tax breaks and benefits and got sold the idea they’d take care of the people who work for them, and generate more jobs. And none of that was true. Graduated ( High School) in 1978. I was 18. The next door neighbor (Man) kept telling me that I needed to move out of my parents house. Never told my dad that he was saying this. One day I came home from babysitting the neighbors kids. The dad of the kids said that my dad was going to kick me out of the house after Christmas. I went home and started to cry mom asked what was the matter? I spilled the beans. Told her what the neighbor had said. MY dad comes in and mom tells dad. Dad turned around and went over to neighbors and told him to stop poking his nose where it was not wanted. Needless to say I didn’t move out until I was 32. Helped with my nephew. Helped with the house work. I worked 40 hours a week and babysat on the side on weekends and after work. Saved most of the money. Had a good nest egg when I got married, at 32. Sorry for the long post.
