This is such a Bangladeshi thing to do when we go back we bring back clothes for people I didn’t know exist and when they visit they bring us clothes haha When we lived 5 doors down from a lovely Indian restaurant that did takeaways, me and my partner at the What’s not to like about Il Volo thanks for the memories shirt What’s more,I will buy this time were working 60-80 hour weeks and used to shamefully order from there every night. After a couple months they stopped using plastic containers and just had someone walk it up plated (and covered), and collected the previous nights plates. We took a break from ordering one week when we had leave, and on the third night the owner came up and knocked to check we hadn’t died. It is cheaper to bring them the What’s not to like about Il Volo thanks for the memories shirt What’s more,I will buy this plates than to package it for takeaway. They ordered so often that cutting the packaging out and walking over was meaningfully more profitable. The secondary “customer experience” is just marketing. That Indian shop owner is a solid businessman and ideal capitalist who makes decisions that earns more money, while delivering a better product(plate is better than box, fight me.), while delighting their customer with over-the-top service, and without charging more. The best part is that they checked in when their consistent profits were in question to make sure they weren’t dead and put the polish on their business acumen and capitalism trophy. I am certain they are lovely people and if everybody wins, everything is great. The world needs more business owners like them. Really made us reassess our eating habits and cut back to 2-3 times a week. Sad when we moved away but it was probably best or I’d be the size of a blue whale by now.
