There are multiple episodes that don’t hold us today because of this. And as kids mainly boys kids talked like this and the same way that children call each other names that they heard their older brothers saying it just continued and it has become a vacuum and you only grow when you still outside of the toxic gaming community. So the people who came up in the industry and are still in the industry 10-20 years after they started gaming of course the culture hasn’t changed Bro this is SO cool. After just 15 years of LoL esports there‘s already more gay people that came out than in a century of football / soccer.

I’m so happy he can be himself proudly and publicly – and that he has a support system that makes him feel like he belongs. The rampant homophobia and slurs in gaming (and just young male culture in general) really sucks. Hope this has a positive effect and makes people more self-aware and kind to each other. I’m so happy for him that he feels comfortable enough to come out. His experience with staff and teammates being homophobic is extremely worrying though, this is not ok. I hope Riot looks into this.
