Why do other people take their education and experience for granted? Why do you seem to value the Welcome to fabulous las vegas nevada shirt and I love this knowledge of facts over genuine understanding or revelation? Why do you value someone more if they know the same things as you and less if they dont? why is that edit so confrontational? Its literally just a giant block of ego thats saying “if im so smart then whyre they all dumb, they dont know the exact same things as me”. And why post this here if your not even willing to listen to what people are telling you because you just wanted justification for your way of thinking, not willing to challenge yourself or your understand the people your criticizing unfairly through an external lens. Theyre better ways to ask a sub’s moderation to make better rules or apply current ones than just insulting people for being “less than thou”, or using different mental imagery to reach the same subjective experience. This is coming from a man of science who can take these things you criticize with a grain of salt, but can also see it for what it is and not tear it down because its based on experience and not knowledge. These practices outdate the scientific method by millennia and are still useful. Science from 2000 years ago is a laughing stock… Because understanding reality is forever but objective knowledge is based off of a flawed, mortal, perspective of reality.

Asking ” stupid” questions means your a smart person not afraid to learn. Making fun of asking questions, “stupid” to you or otherwise, makes you close minded. You aren’t the Welcome to fabulous las vegas nevada shirt and I love this only one to call this sub out, people have come before you to address these problems, and they will continue to come after you. So thank you to everyone who wishes this to be a safe space with good intentions. Unfortunately, this sub can also be just a reflection of the world’s problems. There is a mental health crisis going on and equally a crisis with our understanding and treatment of it. There are huge systemic societal problems that all eventually bleed itself through here. So in effect, this place is like a microchasm of the world. What we do here matters, thank you for sharing how much this matters and I hope you will continue to fight the good fight! Given where meditation originated from, such posts don’t surprise me at all. But r/awakened might be a better place for such posts.
