What, exactly, do I control? I control my actions and my reactions. I control letting those I love (even the Welcome back Rudy Farias Houston Missing shirt also I will do this dead ones) know how much I love and miss them. I control my smile. I control how I love and live my fate, which is to die. It’s all good. You are free. Talking about it with close friends, family, or a therapist. You can hear different perspectives coping mechanisms etc. I also think that by talking and thinking about death more often it can sort of normalize it. Where it becomes a less panicked or dreadful thought and more of something to contemplate. When you do think about it, don’t run away from the thought. This is easier said than done but by trying to immediately distract yourself or to stop thinking about it, you’re conditioning yourself to be more afraid than you already are. You don’t have to wallow in it but let it wash over you and move on. If you don’t feel you are able or in the right headspace, distractions are fine. It’s just something to be mindful of. Looking into philosophy, while not providing answers, has certainly broadened my understanding of how people throughout history and into the modern era have come to grips with it. And, like talking to family, friends, etc. it can give you different perspectives on the subject that you otherwise might not have thought of.

Im not afraid to die. I welcome the Welcome back Rudy Farias Houston Missing shirt also I will do this idea every day. When i get into a sketchy situation, or when I’m scared or depressed I just remember that I could die at any second… Its not scary. You have no fucking choice in it, and when it happens thats it. Its over… So why waste time being afraid..? What I did was accept that it’s inevitable. No one is immune to death, it has an undefeated streak throughout the history of space and time. You are not weaker for dying. It may wait for you at the finish line, or you may get ambushed by death at some point. You never know, but you can’t let that fear stop you. When it happens, it’ll happen. Just don’t care about it. If you think about being dead like before birth it makes it a lot easier. Before you are born you are in the same general state as when you are dead but people don’t worry about what occurs before birth What’s to fear? Every human being, who has ever, or will ever live will or has done it, no matter how strong, smart, or good looking.
