Not as much as seeing supposed professional chefs on tv freak out about handling them. I’d rather them knife first than boil, but you automatically go to hell for dropping them half into the water and watching them flounder for a bit. Knife right though the body between the eyes doesn’t change the flavour, doesn’t affect the eat at all. Just kill the thing first. I’ve no issue with eating animals at all, but I do believe we should be good stewards of the animals we choose to eat and should treat them as humanely as possible. A quick death is what any of us would want, so we should grant that to them.

I’m absolutely not vegan and don’t intend to be, but I think if we eat meat the animals should get to have good lives and be killed as painlessly as possible. Anything less is just cruel.
