Backwards laws will prevent people from moving to those states and in some cases get them to move out. It is a way to solidify a hold on American politics and have even fewer people to answer to. You forget the role of the senate which is supposed to be a delibertive body. In 50 years we will remember Joe manchin as the man who saved America. The Dems Rotating Excuse villan! They could get rid of Filabuster or Demented Joe could pressure Manchin, but Pelosi would rather send out Roe fundraising emails. You still don’t get the Political theater?
