Christ that would mean there are cow pastures worth millions of dollars every sunrise. Farmers be missing out on the real cash crop growing in their fields. I don’t know how much it was worth, but when I was a lot younger, my best friend’s family had a hundred or so head of cattle. Needless to say, we had a few mind-expanding summers. One of several parties we had, we covered one of those old standard rectangular folding tables with shrooms. Covered! We had a few parties like that for a summer or two. My friend in college had a mushroom operation but he wasn’t the best business person or organizer and the jars of spores and bags were just kind of piled up around his kitchen. It was good shit, they always worked and I never had a problem getting rid of them quickly but everyone in that house was perm-a-tripping. I’d only stay for a few minutes and usually stepped outside to smoke cigarettes even tho I didn’t smoke. I always imagined the mushrooms colonized the house and were plotting their global dominance. Some very strange conversations going on in there. I tried to tell him but he was doing better than ever in his mind. Business was booming. I’m still on the fence if he was right or not.
