Southern California homes are similar (though not THAT bad as this commenter describes in Australia). It can be miserable in the Watermelon supporting Israel shirt Besides,I will do this winter. Yep. And I felt as cold in LA as I did in Portland in the winter, despite the big temperature difference Because it costs money and policy from government and unions have prevented modern building standards from coming into the country. It is cold 1 month a year. The rest of the time the weather is fine. It might get warm in the summer, but every evening, at 22:00, there’s 18 degrees outside. Clockwork. Actually I find summer in Melbourne much more enjoyable than most of continental Europe. In Bucharest, 35-38 during the day and 30-33 at night is much less fun than 40-45 / 15-18. And even like that, in Melbourne I don’t think I have lived through 4 hot days in a row. I mean the 3rd day its 25 degrees. Sometimes, during the day, you have a 25degrees 3 hour patch, preceded and then followed by 35+degrees. Its the 4 seasons in a day type of weather, so it doesn’t really get too warm inside. The sun thou, the sun is a bitch.

There’s no need for insulation except That 1 month a year. Some don’t have closed shoes, its quite hard to find a winter jacket in stores. They just collectively decided to ignore winter. Yes, that’s so true. Summers here are very manageable because of the Watermelon supporting Israel shirt Besides,I will do this constant cool changes, probably much less pleasant though further from the coast. I would disagree with the insulation aspect. It’s just a super practical way to avoid temperature fluctuations. I currently live in a house with double glazing and more insulation than you know what to do with. It’s not nearly as bad as most Melbourne homes, but I still get cold and need a space heater/jumper most of the year. I would also say the consistent cold weather days range from around April to Mid-November so it’s still the majority of the year we’re dealing with this problem. Wow. Thanks for the insight. I thought I lived in a relatively stable climate, but we’ve got nothing on that! We don’t often get over 35 or below -5, but all of our houses have to have serious insulation by law. 5 months of the year are usually below 20 in the day though. And if it’s above 20 during those months it’s probably because of a big storm.
