In medias res -> “in the Washington Commanders advocate accept adapt autism shirt What’s more,I will buy this middle of things”. (Good writing habit. Start with action happening, rather than at a boring place like “and then I woke up!”) Vi veri veniversum vivus vici-> “By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe” – Aleister Crowley’s motto (V.V.V.V.V). Alan Moore was a big fan and added this into V for Vendetta Surprised that exempli gratia and in exempli aren’t here, those are the most common and also frequently misused Quad pro que, I heard that a million times for trump and I think its hilarious. Reporters had to say that over and over again everyday for over a year. It’s missing the most important Latin phrase. Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titilandus. Never tickle a sleeping dragon

Imagine instead of the Washington Commanders advocate accept adapt autism shirt What’s more,I will buy this bad ass Russian general you’re trying to kill, you get like 15 different generals cause they keep dying to npcs. General Yuri Jerkanov is our target, and — oh, what’s that? Never mind, he just took a call on his cell phone and the missile should be impacting in 3… 2… 1… Kill confirmed. Ok I guess, um. Anyone up for tapas? The sniper main character is all set to finally shoot someone, and then someone else calls in an airstrike and an A-10 just obliterates the entire building. yup. great scene, in the sense that its emotional and the acting is fantastic. its gut wrenching though. love that movie They definitely didn’t undersell the brutality of the Russian military. I remember there was some outrage over how they were portrayed in the 2019 Modern Warfare. Seems like they were pretty accurate in that regard at least. Dude I was literally one of those people back in 2019 who thought it was kinda generic and overdone to make the Russians the evil bad guys committing war crimes again. I especially thought the portrayal of Russians hanging civilians and committing mass murder was a bit much. Fast-forward to the war in Ukraine and we’re seeing Russia do the same and worse as they did in that game. Not particularly surprising. A lot of the the deficiencies are things that have been fairly evident for a while. For example, we’ve known Russia’s junior officers and their small NCO corps aren’t very well-trained and it’s still a top-down army. We know that most of their newer equipment (T-90M, T-72B3, Su-35, that sort of thing) hasn’t been produced in large enough numbers to fully supplant older equipment, pilots and tank crews don’t get nearly as much hands-on training as their counterparts in other countries, and the newest generation of Russian military equipment (Su-57, T-14, BMP Terminator) is largely vaporware that they can’t afford to produce in large numbers. Put simply, you can’t build a modern army when you’re an autarkic and relatively poor country. A lot of modern Russian systems are derived from western ones they licensed during the thaw of the 1990s and 2000s. For example, the thermal sights on Russian tanks are a system called Buran-Catherine, and are a copy of a Thales system (an older Catherine version). Crucially, the actual thermal imaging sensors in the system are made overseas and Russia no longer has access to them (hence why the factory that builds T-90s has shut down due to lack of components). The targeting pods Russia used on the multirole version of the Flanker (Su-30) is also a licensed Thales design with a foreign-built imaging sensor. Russia is a country without a developed high-tech sector, and they’ve alienated nearly every country that has one, so they can’t compete with Western countries anymore. This applies not just to sensors, but also to guided munitions, which also require very sophisticated electronics but are one-time use (obviously), so they’re even more difficult for Russia to maintain a supply of.
