When I was at Amazon, which was not an obligatory round-the-clock job like a hospital, they just didn’t change the Warning I May Spontaneously Talk About Trains Vintage Sunset T-Shirt and I love this clocks til after night shift left. That works for none customer service jobs. Places that have to operate to the clock unfortunately are stuck. Place needs to be open until 2am . When I worked overnight restocking at target the overnight team didn’t change clocks till the end of shift. So we weren’t open and everyone just worked their normal length shifts Walmart rolled the clock back at 2am at 6am we where given the choice to leave or work the extra hour of ot and clock out at 7 as normal. Yeah, I work at Amazon and we just leave after the normal 10h. And when it’s the other way around we leave an hour earlier, but still get paid for 10h. Honestly after giving birth this last time I think free pizza is the minimum for them just existing! Right before giving birth I had a full blown panic attack and the nurse on shift was so kind and caring and patient. I wish I had thought to give food or even a present because she (and all the other amazing nurses) was just an angel. A perfect scrub wearing angel. I ended up getting a needle in my leg for the panic attack. But i was so unsure of wanting it I just kept saying “I don’t know” and crying that she (and my husband, who I did entrust this type of decision with) just made the decision to do it. I love her, I hope she’s doing good!! I had an elective caesarean as I’d been on the ward for five days having several different types of failed inductions and by the last day I was so fed up haha.

I was soo out of it afterwards and the nurses were so sweet whilst I was coming round. I can tell I’m tired because when I read this my first thought was like, construction. I thought the nurses part was strange until I got to “My husband” then I was like Oh. My family used to own a 24-hour business. When clocks turned back in the middle of a shift, we paid them the full 9 hours. When clocks moved ahead they worked 7 hours but we still paid them for 8.
