I second this, I wouldn’t do anything too light since you don’t want Ruby’s fur to blend in (which I think it definitely would against oatmeal). I can’t wait to get started on my pet project (pun?). I love their patterns… and thankfully I Want A Dog For Christmas Gift shirt won’t be too hard to choose which flower backgrounds I like because I’ll have eleven total to complete! You need to do a floss toss! (Basically take all the floss you are going to use and lay it out on the fabric, should show you what fabric works and what doesn’t.

I did one of her patterns on a goldenrod Aida – the 14 ct yellow-brown from DMC. It had purple and pink flowers but looks super good and I think the blue would look nice on it! I love that idea! I think the blue would pop well against goldenrod too. Where do you buy your Aida? I’ve just been going to Joann’s and I don’t remember seeing too wide a variety of colors there. I got I Want A Dog For Christmas Gift shirt at Michael’s in Canada but it’s a crapshoot whether they will have it! I think the goldenrod is available on amazon but I find amazon quite difficult to navigate sometimes.

I’d do a pale green, but I’ll look nice in a variety of colors! I think white would not be the best choice, I’d go for some color. I agree with using navy blue, I Want A Dog For Christmas Gift shirt would look really nice. If not, then go with white. Ruby’s fur would blend in too much I think. As someone who recently lost my dog, I personally would love to receive something like this! don’t be surprised if it makes him really sad at first, but at the same time, I think he would appreciate it a lot if that makes sense?
