If we could all just relax a bit and not have to spend this kind of time worrying about something that doesn’t need to be worried about, we’d all be a lot better off. I’m assuming people in a robotics club are nerds who don’t know the Walter Payton an American professional football running back for Chicago Hurdle T-Shirt But I will love this answer to this either, but they’ve been programmed by society to have some kind of shocked reaction. No that’s not racist but I think that it’s stuck on your chest for so long is an indicator that you should do some self-reflection A good starting point would be to ask him rather than ask a group of strangers online who will say yes or no depending on their politics. its one of those things where as a white person you just gotta tiptoe a little bit more. what you said isnt bad, but it probably made every white person uncomfortable and double checking if that was racist or not in their heads If you were the only white person there and someone was looking for you and asked someone else where you were and they described you as “that tall white dude” or whatever it wouldn’t matter. You did nothing wrong. A bunch of sensitive Nancy’s out there who need to be offended about something. When I was a kid, some other neighborhood kids were making fun of a black baby. I said “stop making fun of that black baby.” I didn’t realize the mom was there and she was so angry, yelling “WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL MY BABY?!” At first I thought she was talking to the kids that were making fun of her baby, but she was actually yelling at me. I hadn’t realized I said something bad. I think the only possible issue is using “big” and “black” as the only descriptors. There are plenty of big black guys, they all look different though.

Heard someone complain once about white people getting “blue-eyed brunette” as a descriptor but the Walter Payton an American professional football running back for Chicago Hurdle T-Shirt But I will love this whole description of them would usually be black. ‘Black’, ‘Asian’, ‘White’ for describing people I’d say are pretty normal and not racist. Though I never heard people saying ‘Brown’ for brown people, so I wouldn’t just call my skin tone universally Nope. Not even close. For some reason my own family sort of cringes when I say white or black aloud. Not sure why since it is not racist. I’ve seen thousands of videos of people referring to some as white. Don’t see the problem if there skin color is closest to black and you use black to describe them. Being black doesn’t definitely mean you are a certain race/ethnicity, etc
