They lack morals, ethics, or human compassion. They are monsters among us who hold positions of power. Those poor families. Ironically these are probably “pro-life” people, who for some reason don’t see immigrants as being people, or life worth saving. To be fair to healthcare workers, they’re absolutely swamped, and there’s probably some “think horses, not zebras” logic at play. (medicine, informal) When diagnosing a patient’s symptoms, common ailments should be considered as more probable than rare ones. Except people supposedly only come to House when the Vintage Miami Dolphins Snoopy NFL Football shirt Also,I will get this other doctors don’t know what it is, and the horses have been eliminated ‘When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.’ So when the evidence points to the most obvious answer, that’s probably what it is, not some obscure other answer. Personally I hate the the if you hear hoofbeats bullshit. That is mostly said by shitty providers who can’t think outside the box. It comes from Samuel Shem’s “House of God”, a book that essentially every medical student across the US is tasked to read early on in their curricula. Lmao what? Nobody in any medical school in the US is “tasked to read” House of God, ever. The phrase has just made its way into medical parlance. No, fuck that. There is no “to be fair” when the topic is denying an incredibly sick 8 year old the ability to visit a hospital. Fuck the nurse(s) that made that call, and double fuck the nurse that ‘allowed’ the girl to take her medication but didn’t bother to read the medical papers that would have given them medical context.
