Yep. #3 is where I’m at. I leave my house when I’m done work and probably 1/5 chance something happens that makes me go ‘This is why I stay at home’

All I read was, “the cops are now doing this and, as usual, you might not be able to do anything about it.” Lmfaoo Sure, but it forces them to admit that they are going to image you for facial recognition and gives your lawyer a chance to have the search thrown out later. There’s very little you can do, in the moment, to stop a police action. Fear and adrenaline stop them from rational thinking. You have to make it easy for the courts and cooler heads to fix it. Regardless of the level of corruption present in the system, fighting the cops during a stop will lead to more charges, and possibly your death. The system is designed for you to fight the cops in court, and obey on the street. Most millennials and gen z do not have the means to lawyer up, that is a luxury in the US. We do not have the same access to rights as the moderately wealthy. This is a large part of why low-med wage people have a very different perception of cops; cops know we can’t defend ourselves, and they act like it.
