because I live 1 mile out of town and am required to turn left on the Veteran Don’t Think Because My Time Has Ended Against Terrorism Eagle Shirt In addition,I will do this highway, I have to be in the left hand lane to make my turn. I know it probably makes some angry that I am not driving 25 over the speed limit while in this lane (I probably drive about `10 over to try to be polite) but too bad. The only time, and yes I mean only time, I do this is when my exit is on the left side of the highway. Otherwise I’m a fan of the middle or right lanes. Edit 1: I should also mention that if I’m in the left lane I will try my best to maintain an appropriate speed so I don’t piss people off. I find it interesting that when behind someone else, a person feels the need to drive faster, but when having no one in front of them they forget how fast (or slow) they are going and don’t realize they have slowed down. For this reason, I try to use cruise control at all times on the highway in the middle or left lanes when passing. I too fall for the desire to feel like once no one is in front of me I start slowing down if not in cruise control. It is such a weird behavior to feel like we need to be in front, so we speed up, but once in front we feel like we are going too fast and slow down.

Portland is the absolute worst I feel like thats the root of it too.. peoples subjective understanding of ‘fast’ vs passing which while relative still gives a sense of action. if you want to get really pedantic it is called the overtaking lane. you pass vehicles going a different direction, or stationary objects. you overtake vehicles going the same direction. Dude this tugs at my trigger strings ? why people have no damn drivers etiquette, then wonder why I pass them like a bat outta hell.. “I’m going 20 over the speed limit, you can pass on the right if you wanna pass me”. – My girlfriend whenever we’ve talked about it. I absolutely hate driving highways in Ohio..NO ONE understands this concept and you’ll have people doing 60-65 in the 3rd-4th lane with an open slow lane. I’m about to put a sticker on my truck that says move over dumbass. Maryland is the same way. I BELIEVE they only recently passed a ‘stay right except to pass’ law (I could be wrong about that) so I kind of understand but it’s still infuriating
