I absolutely hate the Van Gogh Clone High Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this growing trend of what I’ve started calling “regressive ‘intellectuals'”. Bunch of supposedly “smart” people using big words to convey absolute nonsense. Oh that guy is definitely on the top of that list. I had a friend who swore by his “philosophy”. One time he even linked an “eye opening” clip of Peterson talking about how easy it was for women to change their mind about consenting and subsequently reporting their encounters as sexual assault or rape. I literally eyerolled just recalling that stupid clip. When he got popular for standing up for free speech, I got excited, and immediately wanted to know more about this warrior for free speech… and immediately realized he was just hiding behind it to be a bigot. It’s been an observation of mine that those who bang on the loudest and hardest about “freedom of speech” are often the ones who have the least to say worth actually listening to.

He heard sociologists say that childhood is a recent invention (industrial revolution roughly) and thought it meant that it was always considered acceptable to have sex with 14 year olds until recently. Spoiler, it wasn’t. He fundamentally misunderstands what it means when sociologists say childhood is a recent invention – they’re referring to school, child protection laws, society generally being centred around protecting children in a way it wasn’t before the Van Gogh Clone High Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this industrial revolution. Not that nobody considered children to be children lol I mean, technically speaking – technically speaking, its only pedophila if you’re attracted to prepubescent children. There is actually separate terms for the age ranges. Pedophile, hebephile, Ephebophilia, and others I’m probably missing and don’t care to look up. The general populace has used the term pedophile for anyone who is attracted to anyone under 18.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
