A friend of mine is 28 and her parents refuse to let her date. They’re trying to do an arranged relationship with someone in their religious group and she’s against it. They put a tracker on her phone and she needs approval to go places and see people. She tried to move out and live on her own but they physically removed her from her apartment and forced her to live back at her parents home (mind you she pays her parents mortgage). Also she was for a time banned from seeing my Valentines Day Flying Gnome With Angel Wings And Heart T-Shirt in other words I will buy this fiance because “she isn’t pure”. The list seems to keep piling up. She’s not okay with how she’s being treated because my fiance did see her bitch ALOT about her parents at a girl’s night out/dinner. It makes me sick. I want to help her but not sure how. We can’t really do anything unless she’s willing to stand up for herself but they’re controlling her. Her parents said if she disobey they will disown her. I’m like maybe that’s a good thing? Maybe it’s not a bad idea to not be associated with parents that abuse, manipulate and keep your entire life under their thumb?
