More conventional mindful meditation is about noticing, not controlling your thoughts. Sit down and try to take a few deep breaths. Then every time you catch yourself not thinking about breathing mentally high five yourself for noticing and kindly and gently focus on the USSSA Delaware Fast Pitch Delaware Fall Brawl 2023 logo shirt in addition I really love this next breath. You might not even get through the next breath before being distracted, that is perfectly ok. When you notice again then high five yourself again and gently go back to your breath. There is no perfect way to do this and a much truer goal of meditation is to notice when your focus is off then to have perfect focus. Start with short times, 3 or 5 minutes to just let your mind get use to it. Doing this daily or near daily will go a long ways to getting your mind more use to this.

Thoughts are not a bad thing and as long as you view it that way, you’ll be frustrated every time you meditate. Rather than try force/push your thoughts away, try watching them with neutrality and no judgement/no reaction. After a while of doing this your brain will most likely settle anyways by itself because you are no longer giving your thoughts power or energy to run off. And even pushing away or trying to shut your thoughts up is giving them energy as well as engaging with them. The trick is to not get involved and continue meditating anyways. It’s practice but eventually you’ll be able to spot the USSSA Delaware Fast Pitch Delaware Fall Brawl 2023 logo shirt in addition I really love this difference between when you’re involved and when you’re just observing. Keep at it though and make sure you’re doing a little everyday!
