I’ve used computers extensively since I was 10 years old and while I have mental illnesses, they sure as HELL was not caused by nor worsened by social media. The key difference here is I taught myself how to critically and rationally think about the Us Air Force Sac Trained Killer Shirt Besides,I will do this world around me. I developed mental resilience. When things got down, I picked myself back up and moved the HELL on. The blame poor mental health of children today can be laid at plenty of feet, but social media is not one of them. We would be far better off to encourage them to push back against those who would bully them mentally, emotionally, and physically before they go so crazy they start bringing weapons to solve the problem. Not surprising tbh. Probably not anything to do with the algorithm, but I had to leave tik tok because it was just making me feel so uneasy. It’s so easy to blow up and go viral, I went viral about 3-4 times and acclimated 3 million something views as a whole on my account and at peak, 96.5k followers. I have a dissociative disorder (Depersonalization derealization) and the fact that over 3 million people had seen my face and heard me talk makes me want to crawl under a rock and live my life as a hermit. Hell, I was stopped a few times in my local Walmart because people had seen me on their FYP multiple times. I hate social media pressure so much, I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to it.

What do you expect kids to do when their social lives have been heavily restricted for the Us Air Force Sac Trained Killer Shirt Besides,I will do this past 2 years of their short lives? I’m definitely concerned about covid, but I think the high use rates of tiktok among children is a symptom of a greater problem that’s only gotten worse since the pandemic started. Yes every social media is fucked for young minds. Ever seen an 8 year old girl editing the living fuck out a selfie to post to some next social media site? I have, it’s fucked. I, as an 18 year old had to delete it. Not only do I get sucked into the beauty standard bs. But half of the content on there is dumb. Literally incomprehensible nonsense. Plus there’s misinformation on there, gore, racism, sexism, homophobia etc. I noticed this with me as well. I decided i would uninstall the app even with a following and then I realized I really didnt miss it. Until, I had to know more information about a certain topic, like gardening or cooking. Then at that point, i would just use tiktok for just its search feature. My mental health has improved when I didnt use the For You page. But lately with the war, I only want to see that stuff on my For You page to stay up to date.
