I don’t understand why aren’t Americans protesting free health care rather than some dumb shit that isn’t as important.. Everyone wants better healthcare, but some of them have decided that “owning the Upchurch-Merch-Logo-Shirt besides I will buy this libs” is more important. So fuck everyone and we’ll all get sick and wish we were dead. Do you know how much it would cost America to implement free healthcare? Because it won’t be cheap, and America ain’t paying for that. They’d rather have you die than lose money, I mean have you seen the state of the working class? In the long run, it would pay for itself by having a healthier and therefore more productive workforce that pays more taxes. America is paying more per capita for healthcare than any European country. You would save money by switching to a socialized system. That’s the problematic word “socialized”. Most Americans have been fed the idea that socialized means socialism, which is the same difference as put people in gulags communism. Plus decades of indoctrination that free markets solve everything and government is inefficient. Their healthcare system is more broken then the not free part. Price fixxing, corruption, drug scams, incompetence from healthcare providers, and all these problems are politicised into “we have the best system in the world, we shouldn’t change it”. Just look at asthma and diabetes medicin costs, or the idea that ur parents can sent u to some camp without consent. (Fat, anti gay, religion etc) The US already spends more tax dollars per capita on health care than European countries with universal health care. All the insurance and private payments are on top of what a universal health care system costs. So long term it’s possible that the US could reduce government costs by implementing it. It will take some time before the results of providing decent health care to the population shows up in the budget though.

This is just on top of the Upchurch-Merch-Logo-Shirt besides I will buy this fact that health outcomes are worse in the US than in other western countries, so they are basically paying all this extra money to make sure they are less healthy. It wouldn’t be cheap because you assume the insurance companies and medical corporations who profit obscenely from the current system should be “compensated” for their losses if healthcare with a single buyer system is ever implemented (yeah, it’s not “free” but the State bring the single biggest buyer can get huge discounts on medical services). I’d say they have had more than their fair share of profit throughout the decades and now need to deal with change (funny how the same people who like to spout the “change is good” mantra when it is about people losing their jobs go ballistic when “change” is about rich mega corporations losing profit at the expense of everyone). the joke is that the American gouverment already puts a lot of money towards Healthcare companies, also maybe America should stop giving tax breaks to the 1% and actually tax the rich appropriately. it’s not expensive at all its that the priority of the gouverment lays with the rich.
