Even if a given store’s charitable options are earnest, ie the Unterschatze Nie Wings Motorbike Motorcycle Women Enduro Motocross Biker T-Shirt but in fact I love this store actually gives 100% of that money to an organization or program that is 100% in service to its clientele (such organizations are mythical beings), never indulge them in this scam. Good to know i am not the only one annoyed by people that could solve world hunger with stroke of a pen asking for money to solve world hunger. I donate for selfish reasons, I accumulate karma so that it smites my foes like the wicked and wild bitch she is. That and I do enjoy my streak of good luck after I’ve done some stuff like donate or helping those in need. Just donated today, on my birthday..no joking, at the goodwill and roaming through items and come across a shirt that says, “Kiss me! It’s my birthday!” I had to read it twice to make sure that’s what it said?? I laughed to myself????? #niftyfifty?

I agree . If greedy wealthy(most)would stop taking away from the Unterschatze Nie Wings Motorbike Motorcycle Women Enduro Motocross Biker T-Shirt but in fact I love this working people(who made them wealthy)they could afford their needs . I know it’s annoying & we hate asking just as much. I work at a store & people have yelled at me that they don’t want to make a donation. Like I literally don’t care $5 isn’t going to cure cancer we are forced to ask otherwise we get in trouble Most of those companies match what people give. This shouldn’t anger you, so much money is raised because of these drives Because “corporations evil!” Theu cant fathom the idea of them doing anything but being a mustache twirling cartoon villian The corporations give money up front and then ask for donations, and if they somehow raise more than their “fundraising goal” they just pocket it. If you donate to the business though, they get to market it down and take credit for you giving. So it comes off their taxes. This is untrue. You retain the tax benefit and can claim it using the receipt. And as others have pointed out, even if the company were to try and claim a benefit it mathematically works out to a net 0 benefit for them since they would need to first claim it as income. So, not only is what you are suggesting not what actually happens, it is also mathematically impossible for it to benefit the company on their taxes. I’ll bet a bunch. Most companies aren’t going to risk both breaking the law and the horrific PR that would come from stealing money from a charity.
