Drag queens are already under cultural attack, they don’t need this from within the United For Christ UFC Shirt and by the same token and community as well as everything they have to contend with happening outside of it. I cannot adequately articulate what a safe haven and breath of fresh air that RPDR was for my friends and I living in the Bible Belt at a time when bigotry and homophobia was commonplace. To Wong Foo was my favourite movie growing up and getting to see RuPaul on TV with her own drag show was so exciting. I get that in a way we may be spoiled having so much content to choose from, but I remember when the only queer content came on at like 3 am or was stereotypical fodder for comedy in straight sitcoms. This is an amazing platform we have that can be damaged by infighting and petty squabbling. You won’t know how much a platform like this can mean until you’ve known what it is like not to have one at all.

United For Christ UFC Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It’s good to be passionate, but if it’s getting really negative in your headspace it might be time to take a step back and give yourself some TLC and “me” time. Protect your mental health and theirs. At bare minimum, if you feel inclined to PM someone hate messages, just don’t. It isn’t that hard to resist going out of your way to personally write someone hateful remarks. It takes HUGE guts to come out, especially in public. It also takes huge guts to be a POC and openly queer, huge guts to be openly trans, huge guts to be a drag queen, and MASSIVE GUTS to do any combo of those things in public on an international scale. These are queer artists out here repping for us on the United For Christ UFC Shirt and by the same token and news, in the media, and across the world as we get to watch from the comfort of our homes.
