The real difference between both is people who live in NYC will never miss the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this chance to tell you, your mates, their gerbils: they live in NYC. As far as I can see NYC is more cliquey. Harder to get into social circles and more exclusive, whereas London is very inclusive and embracing of different cultures, and societal classes. London is more raw in my opinion. I have lived in London for almost 2 decades. Visited New York a couple of times. First time for pleasure, second time for work. Only thing that’s better in New York is that they have a beach. Manhattan was a shithole full of crazy people, everywhere stank of weed and the place was just dull. The “Italian” food was far removed from proper Italian food, and just muck soaked in cheese, the parks were rubbish other than Central Park, there were so many skyscrapers that the Empire State building was a massive disappointment. I found it exhilarating the same way I find a walk around Lewisham after dark exhilarating. NY metro was a pain to try and work out and you have much less helpful signs ANYWHERE, even in stations. London tube is far easier. Other than that I agree.

UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt: Express with Style

Went to NYC last summer. Loved it. Probably one of the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this few cities I would relocate to in a heartbeat if offered a job there. My job role pays a whopping 10x more in NYC than it does in London. Sadly very hard to break into due to mafia like unions and nepotism in the states. Not domestic but for theatre, movies and concerts. So sad seeing the rates for a show I did in the west end transfer to Broadway knowing what the union crew get there.New York is way too pretentious. London is very down to earth with “normal” people. Ah, fair play. Is it actually called Dumbo on the map? I think I’ve heard it mentioned in media before but always assumed it was something like Dunbow. Because calling something Dumbo seems silly to my ear.
I really like the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this Village in NYC (around Jane St etc). I could walk anywhere on my trips there. Always stayed in the same apartment and it felt like Sex&The City. Since Covid started, I’ve only been there once. Friends live in Hoboken and Weboken, rent like 3500 a month was a steal (1-bed in Weboken, on a 50% discount during Covid). The minute Covid was over, they increased rent by 20% from full price but obviously they could afford it so they stayed. The thing is, everyone I know doesn’t really hang out in Central Manhattan – too much risk of being exposed to crime or other horrible things. It’s different when you’re in finance and live in your own bubble on Upper East Side, or were born into money and enjoy yourself near Riverside Park. That’s a different bubble. To me NYC in a bit tiring and a bit too much. I’d prefer San Francisco in that regard. But knowing how the US has changed during Covid, I don’t want to live there at all (and I can move there, like, tomorrow and be all set from day 1 due to part of my family being there)

All salient points but you forgot the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this most important pro: London has better Pizza than New York. We have actual Italians making Italian pizza in London. Why else would Stanley Tucci live in London and not New York? I haven’t lived in either place, but I’ve been to NYC on a vacation and London on a graduation trip. NYC gives me MAJOR anxiety. In London I felt peaceful (and I stayed in Zone 1). I don’t know, but I think I felt safer in London than I did in NYC. I wasn’t worried at all about having gone shopping and walking around with lots of bags in London. In NYC it felt so much more crowded and I felt like I needed to hold my bag close (which is crazy because I’ve never felt that about anywhere I’ve traveled to). When I was in London, the people I came across either left you alone or were super nice. In NYC a man came up behind me yelling F*CK YOU like 3 times (my mom was about to go Mama Bear on him. Lol) and I thought I was going to die in the cab or two I took. London was also cleaner. I do love the theatre and musicals so I would love to see more on Broadway, but I dread having to go to NYC to do that. So if you, having lived there, or anyone, has any lovely thoughts or tips on NYC I’d love to hear them.
I’ll just say that knowing both cities well, I felt much safer in Manhattan than central london. Part of this was that there were more people around at any time of the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this day. Manhattan pre-Covid also had an excellent safety record (I think London may have over taken it in terms of crime rate before Covid , but I need to fact check that) . As for friendliness, New Yorkers are busy and dislike clueless tourists that just pay no attention to others trying to get past them on the pavement. London is the same tbh. New Yorkers are pretty friendly and chatty , though who knows perhaps that’s because I had an English accent. I also found Londoners to walk faster than New Yorkers. New Yorkers seemed pretty slow in comparison to my London march perfected through years of navigating London Bridge at rush hour. As for tranquility… Manhattan gets calmer the closer you get to the water. So I suggested starting off near the Staten Island ferry port and walking westwards up the edge of Manhattan. Pretty relaxed there. Then you have Central Park but you need you start off or walk to the mid point to shake off all the tourists.
Good observation, sherlock. So basically, you’re telling us that london is more stretched out? Maybe that has something to do with the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this fact that they have roughly the same population, but london is twice the size. I think I’d say the main difference is size. London is huge, but New York is enormous. London’s urban area is around 10 million people, New York’s is around 20 million. I don’t think comparing London travel zones to areas of New York is that insightful, because the geographies of the two cities are so different. OP is not talking about the state of New York, they are referring to NYC. Comparing city to city. Populations are not far off, London: 9.5 million vs. New York’s 8.1 million. Geographically London is twice the size of New York City.
Having lived in both cities for many years I agree that it’s the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this condensed living that really gave my time in NYC it’s 24/7 buzz. Neither am I. The urban area of NYC is what I’m taking about, which isn’t fully contained within New York state. The US census lists its population as 19,426,449. Measuring the population of cities only by their officially designated boundaries isn’t good for comparisons. The classic example being that if we do that, Paris is only 2 million people. You’re tryna compare the entire tri-state area to London? Yeahhh I can tell you no one is talking about Long Island when they say the city. ‘They’ being the US Census Bureau. Comparing urban areas is the only consistent way to compare the populations of cities.
Any urban geographer knows that comparing urban areas is the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this good practice way to compare sizes of cities. Comparing ‘city to city’ as you have is not good practice, because results are so distorted by whatever way different cities define their boundaries. Which are inconsistent and generally arbitrary. This is why we compare urban areas instead. Incidentally, that 9.5 million you’re quoting for London is London’s urban area, not the population of the official boundaries of Greater London, which is 8.8 million. Which perfectly demonstrates the point why you have to compare urban areas. Straight off the bat you’re comparing two different things. Im a a geography nerd as well and you’re correct. When using metropolitan populations London is smaller in population than both New York City and Los Angeles. Exactly. People seem unaware of this fact. Was amusing to see the one guy who replied to me being really rude and implying I don’t know what I’m talking about, whilst consistently making himself look silly. Gave me a good chuckle.
New York City has a metropolitan population of ~20 million: It’s not. New York is substantially bigger. If you Google the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this populations you will get an answer that is similar. But that’s because the answer you’re seeing is the population within the administrative area of each. In geography it’s not considered good practice to use administrative areas to compare populations, because there’s no consistency across cities about how exactly the administrative area is defined. That’s how you end up with people saying Paris has 2 million people in it, or Manchester 500,000. The best way to do comparisons is the urban area. And the population of the NYC urban area is substantially larger than London’s. The reason for the disparity is that London’s administrative area is much closer to coterminous with its urban area than is New York’s.
You should heed your own advice. And try actually reading my UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this comment, since you provided a link that underlines my point perfectly. London is a nicer city in almost all respects compared to NYC. I wouldn’t even compare them personally but you started it lol I used to think NYC before London’s skyline started to flex its muscle. Now London’s skyline is becoming formidable on a global scale, it’s really hard to suggest any city that’s better than London, it really has everything now.
London is a lot of villages that each grew to the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this point where they started bumping up against each other. New York City (or rather Manhattan; your post overlooks the four other boroughs) started at one point and just kept expanding from. I’ve lived in both, and the biggest difference I see is social – namely, how segregated New York City is, and not just in racial terms. Also: New Yorkers constantly like to say that they live in “the greatest city in the world” – but truly great cities don’t feel the need to remind themselves of that fact all the time. Also NYC has the fortune of being right ontop of bedrock, making those skyscrapers alot easier to construct from what i’ve heard Great discussion. NYC A/C on the subway is a significant factor to consider. Also, peak time commuter traffic on subway seems to be better than underground A big difference for me (other than all the others listed here) was that I could get ideas implemented and get things done more quickly in Manhattan. In London it always seemed to take longer and have more hoops to jump through. There was always a feeling of being in 3rd gear in London vs 5th gear in NY.
I avoided those pain meds for most discomforts for a while because I was worried I would grow a tolerance to them and they would lose effectiveness if I took them for things I could wait out and then not be there for me when I needed some more serious help. I’ve eased up on that a bit, but in part because aging has brought exciting new aches and pains and I can use the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this help. Adding in, those sorts fo drugs are hard on your stomach/liver, so I try to avoid taking them more often than necessary. And kidneys. A relative took prescription meloxicam for arthritis for years. It’s an NSAID like advil. She’s in kidney failure because of it. The doctors knew this would happen and prescribed it anyway. She found out about the link between the kidney failure and meloxicam when she asked a vet for medication for her dog’s arthritis and was refused because of the kidney failure risk. Her dog got better care than she did.
I have kidney issues and have had ulcers. When I need pain meds, I have to choose which organ to roll the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this dice on. Hahaha yeah aging is wonderful isn’t it? Why is my wrist sore? Oh because I stapled about 30 bundles yesterday. Because stapling…. I pulled something in my elbow a couple weeks ago, grabbing a jar of dog treats. It still smarts when I extend my arm fully. This is 100% why I usually don’t use anything for my back pain. I know it’s going to keep getting worse, since the doctors aren’t willing to acknowledge it affects my life yet. If I take too much ibuprofen it triggers my acid reflux making me need to take another medication for 2-3 months. Because sometimes I’d rather feel the pain to know what’s wrong, how long it’s been hurting, if it’s getting worse so I know when to seek medical attention. Just because you’re not feeling it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt and you might injures yourself more without knowing. Also bc some stuff can be hard on your liver. Haha, I like that you’re being downvoted. My endocrinologist said after a few tests that I have hypermetabolism, which would explain why pain meds never worked on me growing up (I thought it was mostly a placebo), and even things like edibles and two post-motorcycle crash fentanyl shots didn’t make me high or relieve any pain It’s interesting because almost everybody in my family has this resistance. None of us have ever been tested for a condition but I’m tempted to see if there’s something more going on.
I had a surgery a few years ago and I remember thinking “should this hurt this much?” for days later because pain meds just…weren’t doing anything lol I woke up during a surgery once, had a morphine drip that did nothing more than take the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this edge off another time, and had the max allowable for dental work that was a big help, but didn’t numb completely. You have red hair on your family by chance? I’ve heard it corresponds with higher pain med tolerance/resistance (whichever you prefer to use). I’ve had enough laughing gas to knock out a full grown man as a pre-teen girl. Had to go through rounds of meds for my last round of tooth- related fun (I did warn her. She had to go get more meds like… 4 times). Things also wear off faster. I’ve taken prescribed pain meds and then had to figure out if I could take higher doses since the prescribed dose didn’t work. Just, all kinds of fun! I agree that ibuprofen and Tylenol seem like nothing to me like 90% of the time. When people talk about it working really well I just don’t get it
This is true. Look up CYP2D6 metabolism. Some people naturally metabolize drugs faster or slower and it affects how much benefit they get from medications. Ironically enough, in spite of being addictive with potential for overdose, opioids are actually far less harmful to your internal organs than are ibuprofen (eats away at your stomach) and acetaminophen (gives your liver a beating) when taken chronically. So it’s a matter of choosing the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this lesser of evils. This is a complex issue and not well understood. NSAIDs seem to impair the ability of the stomach lining to regenerate, normally being one of the faster griwing tissues in the body to cope with tje stomach acid. So if you take a high dose for more tjsn two weeks then the stomach acid starts eating holes in the stomach lining. ……in excessive doses. If your take less than 2000mg a day you’ll be fine. But, a lot of things are toxic in excessive doses.
Both combined is actually the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this better option along with the opioid if need be imo for the synergy they provide via different mechanisms, i.e., you can get away with taking less of each kind with an amplified effect. More pain relief and less overall toxicity. I have sciatica issues, so this is a bit of a struggle for me lately. I literally just ordered an ibuprofen/acetaminophen combo, in hopes that I can lower my individual doses of each. Between migraines, cramps, and night-time hip pain that won’t go away, I’m now a daily pain med taker. My ibuprofen dose has slowly crept to four 200mg nightly for my hips, and I’m pretty sure I can tell my kidneys aren’t happy with it. If the combo doesn’t work, then I’ll probably see if naproxen helps next (I know my grandma used it for arthritis, and honestly, I’m wondering if my hips are getting to that point).
High doses of acetaminophen at once or over a short period, most definitely. If you don’t have any underlying conditions or take any other medications affecting your liver, it’s safe to consume as long as you follow the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this directions. Yes and no. If you take 50-100 times more than the recommended dose, them yeah you’re going to be pretty ill for a few weeks, but you’ll also likely throw up a lot of it.. The liver and kidneys can usually repair itself over time. Paracetamol/acetaminophen is more toxic to the liver, and more serious if you deliberately overdose. Hence swallowing a bunch of Tylenol pills on order to “commit suicide” is exceptionally dumb. Worst case scenario you do enough damage to have low liver function and wait on the liver transplant list for a year or three. Or die while waiting of chronic liver failure which trust me isn’t a good way to go. Also if you take it for more thsn about two weeks it can cause stomach and intestinal irritation in some people. Not all This is because aside from blocking pain amd inflammation signals, they also block certain growth factors associated cell division so they slow down the rate that they stomach lining regenerates itself. This is a complex issue and it also probably has something to do with the balance of microbes in the upper small intestines.
I only take pain medication if there is no other way around and then definitely something stronger than ibuprofen. I take a lot of medication for my health and I just grew resistant to pain meds. I would need at least 3 ibus for me to feel something. I’m not a fan of symptom relievers. If it’s something that will actually solve the UConn Huskies Vs North Carolina Tar Heels 2024 Fenway Bowl At Fenway Park In Boston MA On December 28th shirt moreover I will buy this problem, like antibiotics for a bacterial infection, then I have no problem with it. But I’m not gonna take Tylenol because I have a headache. I’ll just drink some more water and take a nap. Also I almost never get headaches unless I’m hungover. And then I don’t want to risk the liver damage from Tylenol or the stomach bleeding from ibuprofen. I personally try to not take them because, for example, when I have headaches I usually know the reason and it was preventable, like I stayed up too late and didn’t sleep long enough, or I’ve not been drinking enough water etc.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
