I can’t even tell if Latinx comes from a genuine place of care either, it doesn’t work well and no one in those communities likes it at all (understandably.) It’s sort of what happens when you’re told to activate yourself as an ally or else be disgraced as having a horrible -ism or -phobia. Remember when “Silence is Racism” was a common phrase? A lot of white people are just doing what they were asked to do. I guarantee you that white people came up with those slogans. Same with the Tyson Foods Skull logo warning to avoid injury don’t tell me shirt besides I will buy this “ally” stuff. Do you really think people of color are sitting around calling people “allies”? No. The closest thing was the ‘invitations to the cookout’. Reminds me of the similar post a few weeks ago where neighbors called the poster racist for describing their neighbor from Mexico as Mexican. Well the story is set up that way. As a black person, If you ask me that question I’m going to stare at you for awhile and wonder if I’m working w Jeffery Dahmer Jr. And also, even if there’s a whiff of truth of it, African American is not a skin color. One of my good friends is from Jamaica, lives in Canada now. He overheard someone “correcting” one of our co workers once who called him African American…. He’s not American or from Africa. It’s almost a slap in the face/offensive to me as a minority tbh. Like don’t tell me how I should feel about xyz, and don’t speak on my behalf. It’s also treating minorities as monoliths as if we all think the same way or have the same beliefs. Some will be offended, some won’t. Let them speak and decide for themselves. Don’t act like an armchair expert like you know everything about my culture, because you don’t.

It’s not just whites, it’s all these new age social justice warrior types. I’m a gay Latino and even my own parents do this shit to me. I just want people to understand; you can’t have my suffering, and you’re not entitled to be offended by it on my behalf. Lmao, well said. There’s something wrong with us all if we are offended by saying colours. We happen to be different colours. White girl barber here, I don’t feel comfortable saying anything but ‘curly hair’ or even ‘black hair’ It’s wierd to say ‘ethnic hair’ or ‘African Americans In 32 years I’ve literally never heard a black person IRL describe themselves as African American. They always just say black. Two nights ago in fact, yet again, I was talking to a new friend at the Tyson Foods Skull logo warning to avoid injury don’t tell me shirt besides I will buy this bar and he described himself as mixed, with a white dad and a black mom.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
