If I impress others, that’s a bonus”. How many pencils did you go through? I’m beyond impressed, and totally fascinated by your workspace and process! The workspace was utterly impressive to me as well once I noticed it. I didn’t look too closely at first but once I did I understood a little better what level this guy is on. For this piece, I went thru a lot of the same colors. Having to regularly go to the art supply store to re-up on colors, tons of greens. I think all of us are capable of doing amazing things if we apply our time, labor, energy and love into our natural gifts. My natural gift is picking out food that I love and eating it…. I have put time, labor and energy into it and I agree …. I’m awesome at it Well done for taking the time to perfect your hobby. Absolutely beautiful drawing, I am truly amazed. I bet the Tyler Higbee American football tight end for the Los Angeles Rams T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this worth of that room is crazzyyy with all those colored pencils. Ugh, what it would be like to have that many high quality colored pencils Man! That’s impressive af! Where do you even learn to do this? I’ve dabbled in pencil art and not even in the same time zone as this. I think a lot has to do with how much I analyze the object I’m drawing. Studying the reference photo like my life depended on it. Scrutinizing my representation of it to no end. How do you get the deep saturation of the pencil so it doesn’t look striated? Is it just about keeping the pencil super sharp and using a lot of pressure? The only way you can tell it’s a drawing in the first picture is because of the pencil. This is more than amazing. I’m still at drawing in my textbooks, but this kind of thing really inspires me. 400 hours… most i’ve spent on a drawing is less than 12 hours. Must’ve been drawing for a looooong time to achieve this level… Three hours here, two hours there, it all adds up. And the more time spent on it (whatever the craft) the better we get at it. I was a huge Kobe fan. Lost lots of sleep staying up watching his games. Im on EST. The sneaker itself is so impressive to me with its vibrant colors and the many intricacies in the design and textures. Curious, why? Was it commissioned? Looking to sell? Just for fun? It’s really incredible work, wish I could do a 10th of that but I can barely draw a stick figure
