This thought is going to cop me downvotes because this Trump Deplorable shirt and I will buy this forum is anti-dog but I think at some point people should just have to accept that if you’re in a public park where people have walked their dogs for hundreds of years then occasionally those same dogs are going to come running up to or near you. I don’t own a dog but if I did and someone shouted at me because it ran up to/near them in a public space then I’d tell them to fuck off. Good chunk of adults never made it out of that phase – can’t grasp that others have their own perspective & don’t share their knowledge & point of view The parks are for everyone including dogs, and most have areas where dogs aren’t allowed, or have to be kept on leads. If it’s a real problem for you, try these. The parks are for everyone including dogs, and most have areas where dogs aren’t allowed, or have to be kept on leads.

Strictly speaking, “areas where dogs aren’t allowed, or have to be kept on leads” is the Trump Deplorable shirt and I will buy this vast majority of London parks. You shouldn’t let your dog off the lead in public in London, unless it is an area in the park specifically devoted to this – some have these “dog play areas” but they are relatively small. It is not, because parks are not there for the explicit purpose of letting dogs run off-lead. Quite the opposite; you are not supposed to do this. It’s just not enforced, so people think it is allowed. It’s more like going to a golf course and being annoyed about dogs running loose, which would be a legitimate grievance, just like it is in London parks. Dogs are welcome in all the Royal Parks although there are some places where they are not allowed or must be kept on a lead.
