I quite enjoy Sadhguru’s ideas on the Trish Stratus Bad Girl shirt also I will do this subject (rather more from a philosophical perspective than from a religious perspective). Maybe that’s one place you could start. I also enjoy Sam Harris. The former teaches philosophy and mysticism, while the latter teaches philosophy with a fervent rejection of mysticism. From a philosophical perspective, they’re actually rather well aligned though. What’s interesting to me is that practically speaking, mindfulness works just as well with or without mysticism. Even the mystic (Sadhguru) says as much in his lectures. Read about it, listen to lectures by various practitioners, integrate what you like, and throw out the rest! Philosophers have been doing that since, well, the invention of language! Karma isn’t “what comes around goes around.” Karma isn’t a form of comeuppance, or “karmuppance.” The literal meaning of Karma in Sanskrit was “action,” and is regarded as the law of cause and effect.

If you kill, steal, lie and cheat all day, your mind will be a mess and it will be hard to meditate. That’s karma. Karma is the Trish Stratus Bad Girl shirt also I will do this fruit that you reap from the seeds you spend time planting in the mind. Nothing, because Karma isn’t real. It’s part of a religious belief system, and that isn’t what mindfulness is about. Isn’t there a spirituality or religious sub that this stuff is better discussed in? I’m not knocking anyone’s spiritual beliefs, but this really isn’t about mindfulness, it’s about spiritual/religious beliefs. For sure, I just don’t think it belongs here, but.. that will get down voted, because religious zealots of all types rule the world. I guess I guess I’ll move one from this sub and leave it to the crack pots. The mind is your garden. Plant useful seeds in fertile ground, enjoy your harvest. Deposit the needless in sour soil, the stench is dank. This is where you are truly able to decide what you’re going to put out and how it may return.
